Connecticut Sun

In January of 2003 Connecticut was announced as destination for former Orlando Miracle franchise. The new team to be named the Sun, a

reference to the team's new owners -- Mohegan Sun. This was the first franchise to be owned independently. By August they won their first post season game with some help from a few former UConn stars Rebecca Lobo and Nykesha Sales.
